The Right Penmanship

Writing down my thoughts as I was writing down my thoughts

Okay call me crazy but all my life I've identified myself as one having a poor penmanship, BUT, since lately I've been writing down my thoughts and feelings - instead of typing them - which btw provides some sort of uhm... better link/bond between you and your output (I dunno!?), I mentally stumbled upon a story to tell. Just a ping in advance, this piece is full of run on sentences and meta-comments (comments about comments), as it is really more of a ~ stream of thoughts ~ type of essay so bear with me although I hope you enjoy the ride lol.

Yesterday I was strolling down the book store and I got myself a set of 3 Panda ballpens. As far as I can recall, ever since I was high school I already got these pens since they're the cheapest I can find and in my head I'm thinking, why would you pay 500x the price for a pen who writes the same thing? (I know the answer is because you can but - that's for another topic).

So anyway, as I was having my beautiful morning coffee on a bright sunny day (this is irrelevant but it adds some sort of ~ aesthetic ~ to this blog post lmao), I noticed something odd as I was writing my journal entry.

NOT ONLY WAS THE LINE ABOVE AESTHETIC, MY HANDWRITING WAS AS WELL - and it made me think that - in a penmanship, sometimes it's not you that's the problem - it's the pen!

I believe that there's a right pen for you. If you and your pen has been literally messy for the longest time, maybe it's time to consider switching pens.

It's like judging a fish by its ability to climb a tree. It's like using a relational database for your application that only has single table. No matter what you do, it's not gonna be match!

Just kidding.

I think there are some penmanships that can be worked on. We didn't really pop out from our mother's uterus knowing how to write well right?

Some grass are just really greener but other times the grass is greener where you water it. I think that the experiences and hardships I've had with this pen over the years, writing down mathematical equations I soooo remember to this day (how do you say charot in English? sike?), answering essay questions on why the revolutions of the past occured, and explaining the stages of mitosis and the krebs cycle, has caused my relationship with it to develop, flourish, and blossom to its legible state today.

Also, I'm also not really selling you a pen nor a book (this is not a sponsored post despite me wishing it is) but one time I was reading the "Way of the Wolf" book by Jordan Belfort and he said that there are various types of customers and one of which are customers who aren't really interested or capable of buying your product; ergo (he said), don't waste your time on them - (this is me, ferny, speaking now) and I think that's a valid point. I'm not saying it's easy but I think that it's true that there are things in life that we have to let go and we ought to choose our battles wisely, otherwise, we'll be spending our limited amount of time and effort on the wrong things.

I just thought I'd point out that there are things that are a match for us and vice versa. Sometimes we have to look at things at a different angle to go about our daily lives in a much more favorable and mentally healthy manner - and I hope you truly do so today.
